It all the time claimed to be a “no-kill” animal shelter.
So when the shelter’s new director requested employees and volunteers to make an inventory of “difficult” canine, the employees and volunteers assumed these canine have been simply being singled out for particular assist, the Palladium-Merchandise stories.
Then, seven canine from that record — Ben, Cupcake, Princess, Purple, Si, Vance and Whylie — disappeared in early November, in accordance with the Palladium-Merchandise.
“We didn’t know what was happening, we simply knew that she needed to find out about them, so we gave (the record) to her,” Kristina Evans, a volunteer on the shelter, informed the Palladium-Merchandise. “We had no concept what was going to occur with it.”
Now, H.E.L.P. the Animals, a Richmond, Ind. shelter for misplaced or deserted canine and cats, has admitted to euthanizing fifty two canine during the last 5 years — together with the seven canine euthanized Nov. 2, whose disappearance first raised alarm bells amongst shelter employees and volunteers.
The variety of canine which were euthanized is fraction of the 5,602 cats and canine the shelter says it has discovered houses for in its final 5 years.
However employees on the shelter informed RTV that they have been instructed by larger-ups to lie about the place the lacking canine had gone.
