Teen charged with fatally stabbing dog to avoid pound

Authorities say a central Florida teen stabbed his canine to demise so he would not need to take it to a shelter.

Native information retailers report that 19-yr-previous Joshua Cox was arrested early Thursday morning after Manatee County deputies responded to his brother’s Bradenton residence.

Deputies reported discovering Cox and the three-yr-previous pit bull’s physique within the yard. Cox reportedly informed deputies that his mother or father’s had introduced the canine down from North Carolina, however his sister-in-regulation stated the canine could not keep, as a result of it will break their lease. Cox informed deputies he stabbed the animal as a result of he did not need to take the canine to the pound, and he could not shoot it inside “metropolis limits.”
