Phish drummer wins local election in Maine hometown


The drummer for the jam band Phish has been elected to his Maine city’s Board of Selectmen.

Jon Fishman will take a spot on Lincolnville’s 5-seat board after profitable Tuesday’s nonpartisan election. He and his spouse, Briar, have 5 youngsters and have lived within the seaside city for the previous decade.

Two board seats have been open within the Lincolnville election. Fishman will sit on the board alongside Josh Gerritsen, a filmmaker, who additionally was a prime vote getter.

Fishman acquired 356 votes; Gerritsen acquired 370.
