WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The pastor of a Wilmington church is out of jail after being charged with assaulting a lady.
In response to a warrant, Leland Police charged Micah D. Wright, 39, with felony assault by strangulation and misdemeanor assault on a feminine.
The warrant says Wright scraped and scratched the lady whereas strangling her together with his arms Tuesday and twisted her arm.
Wright pastors Revolution Church in Wilmington.
He’s out of jail underneath $2,500 bond, based on a Brunswick County Sheriff’s Workplace spokeswoman.
Reached by telephone this night, Wright stated he had no remark.
In response to the NC Division of Public Security web site, Wright was sentenced to probation in 2006 for felonious restraint and misdemeanor assault on a feminine.
