Freeport man arrested on drug charges after police find him at scene of shooting

A Freeport man is arrested on drug fees after police discover him on the scene of a capturing Tuesday night time, which left two males harm.
In accordance with Freeport Police, officers responded to a house on the 1600 block of S. Rawleigh Avenue for a report of photographs fired. Police discovered a house hit by gunfire and two 25- and 27-yr-previous Freeport males with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The 25-yr-previous man was taken to Freeport Memorial Hospital and later taken to a different hospital for remedy. The 27-yr-previous was handled at Freeport Memorial Hospital for his accidents.
Police say a suspect focused the house and this was not a random act of violence. There isn’t a suspect description presently.
Through the investigation, Makini N. Erving, 35, was discovered leaving the house that was hit by gunfire. He was arrested and charged with promoting marijuana. Police say they discovered him with 111 grams of marijuana. Makini was on parole from a 2011 conviction for promoting cocaine. He is lodged within the Stephenson County Jail.
The capturing is beneath investigation. Anybody with info is requested to name Freeport Police.
