CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) – A fraternity at UNC Charlotte has been suspended for 4 years due to hazing allegations.

The Charlotte Observer reported (http://bit.ly/2tuI3wL) a faculty spokeswoman stated the suspension started Might 23 after an investigation decided the hazing occurred at Sigma Phi Epsilon earlier this spring.

The investigation began after nameless sources reported the hazing occurred in the course of the chapter’s spring member schooling and initiation course of.

Spokeswoman Buffie Stephens stated a number of the actions apparently occurred on the fraternity’s off-campus home.

The varsity says Sigma Phi Epsilon accepted duty and is suspended till Aug. 15, 2021.

The college says no college students filed costs towards the fraternity and campus police didn’t examine.
