A authorities witness has testified that Cleveland Browns proprietor Jimmy Haslam “beloved it” when the gross sales workforce ripped off clients on the trucking firm managed by his household.
The Knoxville Information Sentinel reviews the jury within the federal fraud trial of former Pilot Flying J executives and gross sales representatives heard a recording of former vice chairman John “Stick” Freeman saying Haslam was conscious of the scheme to deprive trucking clients of the diesel reductions that they had negotiated.
In Freeman’s phrases: “He knew — completely.”
Pilot issued a press release after Tuesday’s courtroom listening to reiterating that “Jimmy Haslam was not conscious of any wrongdoing.”
Haslam hasn’t been charged within the investigation that has resulted in 14 responsible pleas amongst former Pilot staff. The previous president and three others are on trial.
