Dekalb Nation Sheriffs have been busy over the Thanksgiving vacation week. They carried out a ten-day seat belt enforcement, reminding drivers to buckle up as a part of the nationwide “Click on it or Ticket” mobilization.
Through the ten day operation, the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Workplace issued: -9 seat belt citations -three baby automotive seat citations -5 DUI arrests -one felony arrest -one stolen car was recovered -two fugitives apprehended -9 suspended/revoked licenses -eleven uninsured motorists -ten rushing citations -two drug arrests
Dekalb Nation Sheriffs need drivers to recollect not sporting a seat belt is a main offense.
“Our officers are out yr-spherical. Should you or your passengers, entrance or again, are caught not sporting a seat belt, you may be cited for the violation,” Lt. Jim Burgh stated.
