Builders give First Take a look at Cherry Valley Elementary Faculty


Those in charge of design for the new elementary school in Cherry Valley gave WREX an inside look at the progress today. 

The school recently received a name which was voted on by community members. Cherry Valley Elementary School is located n the corner of Harrison and Mulford Roads and is slated to open up in August this year. The 86,000 square foot school will have some new design elements which designers say will increase collaboration across grades.

“We wanted to have some collaboration spaces… So each section the grade level, kindergarten through first, they have a collaborative space for the sections within there. There’s four classrooms that will open up into a collaborative area, so they can do some pull our instruction.”  Said Chief Operations Officer Todd Smith.

The school will replace the current Cherry Valley Elementary School, White Swan and Thompson Elementary. .
