Blimp crashes at US Open

A blimp flying close to the U.S. Open has crashed.

The U.S. Open stated on its Twitter account that the pilot was injured, and first responders are on the scene. The blimp was not affiliated with the golf event.

Some individuals have stated the blimp appeared to catch on hearth.

One individual stated that folks parachuted to security.

The 177th U.S. Open golf event started Thursday at Erin Hills Golf Course.
