Authorities say a 19-yr-previous central Ohio man has died after being electrocuted whereas making an attempt to save lots of his father and household canine at a Lake Erie island marina.
State officers say Evan Currie, of Dublin, was killed Friday night on Put-in-Bay the place his household docks its 33-foot-lengthy energy boat in western Lake Erie.
Officers say the boat had simply been plugged in for shore energy when the household’s canine fell into the water. Currie’s father, Jeffrey, jumped in to save lots of the canine and instantly started struggling. Evan Currie and his brother jumped into the water and in addition struggled.
Jeffrey Currie and his different son managed to get again onto the boat after the shore energy was unplugged whereas Evan Currie didn’t.
The Ohio Division of Parks and Watercraft is investigating.
